Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has vowed to disrupt Nigeria's general election in a new video released Tuesday.

 

"This election will not be held even if we are dead. Even if we are not alive Allah will never allow you to do it," Shekau said in the Hausa language, presumably referring to the polls scheduled for March 28.

“In a French country, this is France, I’m seeing an attack,” the cleric is seen telling his congregation in a video dated Sunday 20th April 2014. “There will be an attack there. They should take note of Wednesday and Thursday,” he continues.

A Nigerian human rights group, the Northern Coalition for Democracy and Justice (NCDJ), on Monday, asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) to bring charges against Muhammadu Buhari, for post-election violence in 2011.

 

 

 

The group said in a statement that Buhari should face justice over the violence, which claimed 800 people’s lives and destroyed many churches and schools.
