{HMM} ''No Voter’s Card, No New Year Blessing'' – Pastor Enoch Adeboye

General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday declared to all RCCG faithful should come to church on first Sunday of 2015, being the 4th day of January before he and other pastors in the church will release the New Year’s blessings.

Adeboye made this declaration on the fifth day and eve of the recently concluded 2014 edition of the Holy Ghost congress, an annual gathering of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, which always comes up in the month of December.
The cleric also enjoined Nigerians to ensure that they acquire their voter’s card which would enable them partake in the voting exercise come next year.

He said:
Quote
“Every eligible voter should ensure they get their voter’s card since this is the only ticket that would ensure that they vote in the candidate of their choice. Nigerians must begin to realise that their vote is their power, and it must be the concern of every Christian to decide who rules them as they are under covenant obligations to respect and pray for their leaders. Therefore, it is imperative to vote in whom your heart desires to be your leader and also facilitate a true and love inspiring relationship with your leaders spiritually by praying for them always.”

He urged those who have not gotten their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to sacrifice a day and go to the local government centre closest to them to get their cards on or before the last day of the year.

He displayed an example of good leadership as he brought out his own PVC and that of his wife.

He also assured citizens that Nigeria will remain one indivisible nation, full of prospects and a bright future, adding that whoever is habouring the thoughts of breaking the country, would be the one to be broken completely.

The congress had in attendance female political big-wigs such as the wife of Lagos State Governor, Abimbola Fashola, wife of Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Tokunbo Awoniyi, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire as well as former Deputy Governor, Sarah Sosan.

Also in attendance were clerics from foreign countries, minister in songs, and some Nigerian pastors, like Rev. J. O. Olaiya among others.
