A schoolgirl killed herself by jumping in front of a train after she was allegedly raped by a man she had met on Facebook.



Tragic Anaid Tutghushyan leapt to her death after she met up with a man who she had been talking to on social networks.The 14-year-old, met the man on a dating website where she claimed to be 25.

The American tourist who was mauled to death by a lion on a South African safari has been named as 29-year-old Katherine Chappell, a film editor who worked on Game of Thrones, Marvel's Captain America and the Divergence series.



The wildlife conservationist was in South Africa raising money for a charitable organization that protects animals from poachers.

Buhari been drag to court by Group, seeks to stop his May 29th inauguration

A group, Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative,   has instituted a fresh suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking to stop the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, from swearing the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday.
 
 
 
The suit filed on Tuesday is also seeking an order nullifying the certificate of return issued to Buhari by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Teenager's arm in Ogun community shattered by Explosion

An explosion has shattered the arm of a teenager, Olawale Adekanbi, and caused confusion at the Agbado community in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The 17-year-old was said to be running an errand for his parents and saw a round object on the road which he reportedly kicked with his foot.

Popular Legislator Arrested By EFCC For N142 Fraud

A House of Representatives candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Miss Oluwametomi Adetokunbo Adisa, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly obtaining the sum of N142, 029,000 (One Hundred and Forty- Two Million, Twenty- Nine Thousand Naira only) from one businessman, Alhaji Isa Bello, by false pretence.


The 37-year old politician allegedly obtained building materials worth N142, 029,000 from Bello, in the guise of servicing a supply contract she had with a construction company.

Federal Government Reduces Electricity Tariff By 50 Percent

The federal government on Tuesday announced a 50 per cent reduction in the electricity tariffs to be paid by Nigerians.

The immediate review of electricity tariff by half was announced by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, in Abuja.

Cameroon Troops Recover Nigerian APC Stolen By Boko Haram, 94 Terrorists Killed

Gallant Cameroonian soldiers have recovered a Nigerian armoured personnel carrier stolen by Boko Haram after an attack on Gwoza in 2014.

The war machine partially covered with blood and riddled with bullets was towed into an army base in Northern Cameroon yesterday.



The APC still bears the insignia “PMF Training College, Gwoza” along its flank and partially obscured by Boko Haram Arabic logo.

A 20-year-old American man who was badly gored during a Spanish bull-running festival is out of intensive care after suffering some of the worst injuries medics treating him had ever seen.
 
 
Benjamin Miller, from Georgia, is out of danger and not likely to have to undergo any further operations, a spokesman for Clinic Hospital in western Salamanca said on Monday.

Brother’s Skeleton Kept In Wardrobe For 2 Years By A Woman In Anambra

A popular food vendor in Eke-Awka market, Anambra State, Ngozi Aloefuna, was discovered to have been in custody of the remains of her brother who died of mental illness about two years ago. The corpse of Stephen Aloefuna, a former footballer with Rangers International Club in the 80s, was hidden in the family house for the past two years until it had decomposed to a skeleton.



Residents of Amikwo Village, Awka South Local Government Area, where the incident happened, were benumbed by the shocking discovery, even as people accused Ngozi, a food vendor, of mischievously harvesting her brother’s body parts to cook the food she sells to the public in the market.

Popular stand-up comedian, Basketmouth (real name is Bright Okpocha) ,was at the receiving end of flak from fans on Wednesday after he announced plans to host a live concert, which will feature appearances by Patoranking, Wizkid, Olamide and comedians from South Africa, Uganda and Nigeria, at the Apollo in London on February 14.

{SAD STORY} Chilling 911 call by 19-year old after grooming & killing 14-yr old boy

A murderous teenager made a chilling 999 call to  emergency services after slitting the throat of a 14-year-old  he had groomed online, telling operators: 'Send police and forensics'.


Lewis Daynes, described as a 'dangerous and manipulative' criminal, was jailed for life today for the murder of Breck Bednar last February.

19-yr old girl stoned to death by Father & Brother for being inlove with boy

This life is so full of misery, a teenage girl was stoned to death by her father and brother after bringing ‘dishonour’ to the family by meeting a boy from another village, police have claimed.



Tragic Pratibha Khan was also strangled before her body was cruelly dumped in a field.The battered remains of the 19-year-old, whose face had been “smashed beyond recognition”, were found close to her home in the north of India.

{SHOCKING} Man pounded by 3 lions after jumping into their cage in Barcelona

A man escaped death by the whiskers after he was pound by a pack of lions after jumping into their enclosure at Barcelona Zoo.

 

Justo Jose, 45, remains in intensive care with serious injuries after he climbed into the lions' den, where he was attacked by three of the animals for about half-an-hour before he could be rescued.
Yesterday afternoon, Jose appeared by the lion enclosure at the zoo, dressed in military uniform, climbed over railings and began scaling one of the walls in the enclosure before being picked up by one of the animals and thrown into a pit.

According to Reports, hostage Lorenzo Vinciguerra bravely fled from his kidnappers during a clash between insurgents and governments troops in the southern Philippines.
