In reprisal to the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christian hostages which was posted online by Isis, Egypt has to that cause reportedly launched air strikes against the militant group targets in Libya. Independent report.



Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has promised to avenge the beheading on Sunday night, saying the country reserved the right to respond in a way it sees fit.

A 46-year-old farmer, Olubusayo Sunday, beheaded his wife and daughter, before taking his own life Wednesday in Onigbedu town in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, police said.



While confirming the incident on Thursday, the Ogun State Police Command said the incident has been traced to a dispute between the man and his late wife. The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said investigations are ongoing.
