Bomb blast after Jonathan’s presidential rally in Gombe State

A blast ripped through a car park outside a stadium where  President Goodluck Jonathan had addressed a re-election campaign rally on Monday, minutes after he left, witnesses said.



Mohammed Bolari, who was at the rally in Gombe, said the explosion happened at 3:10 pm  just three minutes after Jonathan’s departure.

{SAD STORY} 31 dead as Twin Bomb Explosions Rock Jos

According to AFP, government officials have confirmed 31 dead as a bomb blast rocked Jos central market this evening.The bombing reportedly took place around Mr Biggs roundabout on Ahmadu Bello Way.. 

 

 

A double bombing Thursday in the central Nigeria city of Jos killed at least 31 people near the site where a similar attack in May killed 118 people, the state government told AFP.

 Security agents arrested a suspected female suicide bomber who would have blown up the General Shuwa Memorial Hospital, Maiduguri and killed the health workers and the patients they labour hard to treat.



According to Report, the suspected bomber, a fairly old woman, who was said to have been confronted first by the hospital’s security guards, was arrested after it was discovered that she hid an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a food flask she was carrying.

A bomb explosion was reported to have gone off at Kano central mosque this afternoon as Muslim faithfuls were holding their Friday Jumat service.

 It was reported that it is the usual mosque the emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido usually leads prayers but he was not present this afternoon. Its said that many were feard dead and many more have been injured.
