Boko Haram has destroyed my future - Student survivor of Kano GSM market blast

Survivors of the Wednesday twin bomb blasts at the popular GSM Market in Kano have recounted their ordeal. The suicide bombers killed about 18 people and injured 99, while property and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed.



Eyewitness accounts stated that a Volkswagen Space Sharon vehicle dropped off the Hijab-wearing teenage girls and zoomed off. While one of them made straight for the heart of the ever busy market, the other headed for the roadside of the market. In the twinkling of an eye, the bombs went off; people died, some were injured and a heavy stampede ensued.

Bomb blast after Jonathan’s presidential rally in Gombe State

A blast ripped through a car park outside a stadium where  President Goodluck Jonathan had addressed a re-election campaign rally on Monday, minutes after he left, witnesses said.



Mohammed Bolari, who was at the rally in Gombe, said the explosion happened at 3:10 pm  just three minutes after Jonathan’s departure.

{SAD STORY} FCE Kano Bomb Blast Leaves 13 Dead, 34 Injured

At least 13 people were killed and 34 others wounded police fought a battle with suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers in Kano, northern Nigeria, the state's police chief said on Wednesday.



Kano State police commissioner Adelere Shinaba said the gunmen, whom he described as "insurgents", ran onto the grounds of the Federal College of Education after exchanging fire with police outside. He told AFP:
