{SAD STORY} Talented Producer & Musician OJB Jezreel dies at 49

Breaking News! Talented singer, songwriter and producer Babatunde Okungbowa popularly known as OJB Jezreel has died. The music maestro, who was flown for a Kidney transplant in India in 2013 and was said to be doing well, had a relapse about two weeks ago and was kept on daily dialysis before his urgent need for oxygen yesterday.




Unfortunately, he didn't make it. He died early this morning June 14th at Isolo General Hospital in Lagos.

 Aruna Shanbaug, who became the face of a debate on euthanasia after being in a vegetative state for more than four decades following her brutal rape in 1973, died in Mumbai’s KEM Hospital on Monday after a bout of pneumonia.

 

According to the Hindustan Times, Shanbaug was a staff nurse at the KEM Hospital when she was attacked by sweeper Sohanlal Bharta Valmiki on the evening of November 27,1973. To immobilise her, he wrapped a dog chain around Shanbaug’s neck and yanked her back with it. Valmiki tried to rape her but sodomised her after finding that she was menstruating.

Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has died. He was 82. According to a statement released by his family, he died at home yesterday evening in his home in Connecticut surrounded by family. The statement didn't specify his cause of death but he'd been battling cancer for a while.

According to her friends, Kemi would have survived the operation the doctors meant to carry out on her, since she couldn’t give birth the normal way, if only they had operated on her on time. According to them, the doctors charged N450,000 for the operation but demanded an initial deposit of N300,000 which her husband couldn’t provide instantly, and that was where the problem started.

{AGIAN} Another man dies of Ebola in Nigeria

Nigeria has recorded another death from the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus. This time it is a staff of the Lagos Liason office of the Economic Community of West African State - ECOWAS headquarters, Mr Jatto Abdulqudir.

 Confirming his death in a statement, ECOWAS management said the 36 year old man was among those who assisted the late Liberian Patrick Sawyerr when he came to Lagos for a regional meeting and was quarantined after Sawyerr died of the deadly disease. This brings to three the number of deaths from the deadly virus in Nigeria. The first two being Sawyerr and a Nigerian nurse.
