Speaking to The Nation in Kubwa Orientation Camp in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the DG said the orientation programme slated to commence on Monday September 1, 2014 was suspended in Adamawa, Bauchi, Jigawa, Borno, Gombe, and Yobe States.

Olawumi promised the affected prospective corps members that the scheme would make sure they don’t stay at home for too long.

Meanwhile, the Stream Two exercise, meant for the affected northern states was initially billed for Monday, September 1, 2014 to Monday, September 22, 2014. The arrangement was supposed to enable corps members posted to Adamawa State have their orientation programme in Niger, those posted to Bauchi, to resume in Plateau State orientation camp, while those posted to Borno State were expected to resume camp in Nasarawa State.

The other affected states include Gombe, where corps members were expected to relocate to Benue; Jigawa State corps members expected to have their orientation programme in Kaduna, while those taken to Yobe are expected to resume at the Federal Capital Territory Orientation camp.
