The music star took to twitter this evening to announce that he's signed an exclusive songwriter deal with US label Island Records, which is part of the Universal Music Group.

{NAWA OO} Christ Embassy Music Director Arrested For Kidnapping Female Banker

A robbery suspect who claimed to be a movie actor and played a role in a film titled Friday Night and also the music director at Christ Embassy Church, Zone 1, Idimangoro Parish, Agege, Lagos, has been arrested by the operatives of the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad, Lagos Island.



Edward Nnaji, 25, and two of his alleged accomplices were arrested two years after they allegedly conspired with others to kidnap a female banker, Popoola Morenikeji, and collected the sum of N5 million as ransom before they set her free.

The nominees for this year’s All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) have been unveiled and Nigeria’s own Davido alongside South Africa’s Mafikizolo lead the pack with a total of 6 nominations each.

 

While it comes as no surprise that Davido who repersents Nigeria and Weast Africa by extension is up for artiste of the year, he would be having to slug it outwith artistes from the other five regions Mafikizolo, Uhuru, Angelique Kidjo, amongst others.
