Winner of Airtel Talent Search Competition to be reveal by Akon

The Airtel TRACE Music Star competition Grande Finale saw Akon, Devyne Stephens and Lynnsha select the winner of the biggest pan-African music competition on the continent.

With 2.3 million calls, Airtel TRACE Music Star is the biggest talent competition to ever take place in Africa. The number of contestants for this year’s pan-African talent search surpasses European and American talent shows such as The Voice and Idols.

The 13 finalists converged in a nail-biting head-to-head Grande Finale of epic proportions in Kenya on 28 March 2015. Don’t miss out on all the tears, drama and explosive emotions in the star-studded finale, which displayed a great deal of intensity and tension. After a merciless selection done by the jury, Akon declared that it was the best TV show of his life!

The Grande Finale airs on TRACE Urban (DSTV #325) on Saturday April 18 at 8pm.

The viewers and the judges (multi-platinum award-winning hit-maker Akon, renowned music executive Devyne Stephens and top-selling French Caribbean singer Lynnsha) selected the winner who will get a record deal with Universal Music, mentorship and promotion for a total value exceeding $500,000.

A repeat broadcast of the show is slated for Sunday, April 19 at 3PM (GMT +1) on Trace Urban and Trace Africa. The broadcast will last for 1hr 30minutes.
