{SAD STORY} Synagogue death toll now 49 as vehicle conveying sniffer dogs breaks down.

Yesterday, the Nigerian Police announced they would send send in sniffer dogs to help with the search and rescue of possible trapped survivors under the collapsed Synagogue  building.



According to Vanguard, the plan was stalled because the vehicle broke down "The vehicle said to be conveying the dogs to the scene reportedly broke down midway, thereby depriving rescue operators of their use.(Continue)...

Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola today visited the site of the collapsed building inside the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun. He commiserated with the church founder, Prophet T.B Joshua and also ordered all church workers to stop work on the site to enable officials of the Nigerian Emergency Management Authority work effectively.



Meanwhile, the Lagos state Commissioner for Physical planning, Mr Toyin Ayinde, revealed that the 5-storey building had no government approval for its construction.

Many people are reported to have died with several others injured after a 5-storey building located inside the headquarters of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos collapsed around 2pm this afternoon.

Many worshipers who lived inside the church building were among those who died while some are believed to still be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.
