Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe, 90, fell down steps from a podium after speaking to supporters upon his return from Ethiopia, say witnesses.
According to AP,Mugabe appeared to miss a step and toppled when he left
the raised lectern at the airport Wednesday afternoon, according to
several witnesses, who insisted on anonymity because of security concerns.
President Robert Mugabe has sacked his Vice President, Joice Mujuru
alongside eight other ministers, accusing them of corruption and
plotting to kill him.

statement issued by the Chief Secretary to the cabinet, Mishech
Sibanda, confirmed the dismissal saying: ‘President RG Mugabe has
exercised his executive powers to release the Honourable Joice Mujuru…
with immediate effect; Mrs Mujuru’s conduct had been ‘inconsistent with
the expected standard.’
